IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild is an outdoor concert series in stunning landscapes of the Pacific Northwest.

We bring a 9-foot Steinway grand piano to the middle of forests, fields, calderas and historical sites for classical music concerts.

To meet the acoustical challenges of performing in the wild, music is transmitted to the concert-goers via wireless headphones. No longer confined to seats, they can explore the landscape, wander through secret glens, lie in sunny meadows, and roam old growth forests.

In the spirit of the Works Progress Administration’s (WPA) Federal Music and Theatre Projects, which presented thousands of free concerts and plays in theaters, public spaces and parks across the country during the Depression, IN A LANDSCAPE events are offered primarily in rural communities for free or on a donation basis.

Worthy Brewing, located in Bend, Oregon, was founded in 2012 by Roger Worthington, and first opened its doors February 2013.

Worthy brews a full portfolio of craft beers and operates two full-time pubs –its original location on the east side of Bend and Taps and Tacos downtown. An advocate for the environment, a promoter of science education, a cycling and music enthusiast, and a serious beer drinker – Worthington’s passions are the backbone of Worthy.

The Falcon Art Community is made up of painters, sculptors, musicians, writers, actors and artists—

The Ford Family Foundation is a private, non-profit foundation located in Roseburg, Oregon.

Roseburg lies in southern Oregon where the North Umpqua and the South Umpqua rivers join — timber country. Started in 1957, the Foundation now manages large, internal programs and offers scholarships. In addition, the Foundation makes grants to public charities predominantly benefiting communities in rural Oregon and Siskiyou County, Calif. Our heritage comes from such communities and the men and women who created them.

EYRST is an independent record label based in Portland, OR.

We partner with artists to provide the tools necessary to fulfill their creative vision and expand their visibility. Our music is inspired by hip hop but strives to push the genre through experimentation.

Vortex Music Magazine is the definitive chronicle of Portland’s musical vortex.

The Print Edition is published four times per year (since 2014), while digital coverage focuses on immediate access to quick bits of information and media so you can instantly find out what’s happening right now and engage with multimedia content.

Both thoughtfully explore Portland’s music scene, covering aspects and angles often untouched by other media outlets that simply skim the surface of the music community.
